THE BURNING OF A MUSEUM (OR THE STORY OF BENDEGO) IN 3 PARTS
(Text, offset print, silkscreen with thermochromic ink, paper, 148 x 223 mm, 2022)
Underneath a dark grey layer of heat-reactive ink is a story printed in three parts, recounting the burning of the National Museum of Brazil in 2018. Weaving through deep time and the context of the tropics, we have the museum as protagonist and its former inhabitant, the plucky meteorite Bendegó playing support in a tale that reveals itself only through the reenactment of heat.
